The Vasofix Safety® features an FEP or polyurethane catheter that allows for venous placement with minimal trauma and ensures a complication-free dwell time. Thanks to the integrated injection port, medications can be administered quickly without needing to puncture again. Its atraumatic needle tip with a 3-facet bevel geometry provides optimal puncture characteristics. Additionally, the needle includes four fully embedded radiopaque contrast stripes, a hydrophobic blood stop plug, and a detachable lock cone. The color-coded size markings facilitate easy handling. The needle is latex-free and PVC-free in accordance with ISO standard 10.555-1/5. For enhanced safety, the needle is equipped with a self-activating clip mechanism that secures the needle tip immediately after withdrawal. The safety mechanism cannot be bypassed, and only minimal adjustments to user habits are necessary.
